About the Journal

The digital publication Revista de Enfermería Vascular is the organ of expression of the Spanish Association of Vascular Nursing and Wounds (AEEVH), and is an instrument for disseminating knowledge and reflection on the nursing profession, research and care received by patients vascular diseases within the scope of primary, hospital and socio-health care. It is intended for professionals from all Spanish-speaking countries, although it is especially focused on the Spanish reality. Revista de Enfermería Vascular aims to promote a research culture and aspires to be the means of reference for the dissemination of scientific production in the field of vascular nursing and injuries. For all these reasons, the following objectives are proposed: 1) To provide knowledge about the state of current nursing practice. 2) Disseminate original articles, national and international, that mark the trends of the research in the area of ​​vascular nursing. 3) Provide information that serves as a basis for training and continuing education of vascular nurses.

As a scientific journal, only accepts unpublished works that fall into one of the following categories: Editorial, Originals, Short articles, Clinical cases, Reviews, Letters to the Director, Documents, and Miscellaneous.

The magazine publishes two issues per year, in the periods January-June and July-December, in electronic format, and its articles undergo a rigorous process of peer review. The dates of publication are on the 15th day of the first month of each period. All the full contents are inmediately available upon publication on the web https://www.revistaevascular.es/, of free and open access. The electronic ISSN is: 2604-1065. The journal is financed with the resources of the AEEVH and does not charge neither for submissionn nor for the processing of articles.

PUBLIC OBJECTIVE

The journal is aimed at nursing professionals and related disciplines of health sciences, as well as undergraduate and graduate students, teachers, researchers and managers of the field of vascular nursing and wound care, both in Spain and Latin America.

ACCESS POLICY.

This journal is Open Access: it allows free and immediate access to all its content, both for reading and for downloading, under the principle that being able to consult and exchange the results of research free of charge contributes to global knowledge.

REUSE AND COPYRIGHT POLICY .

Articles, once reviewed and accepted for publication, may only be shared under the conditions described by the Creative-Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivative 4.0 International license (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0): Authorship recognition: Authorship of the article recognition (Revista de Enfermería Vascular), must be mentioned expressly and completely provided that a fragment or the text in its entirety is copied, distributed, publicly communicated or made accessible. Derivative works: If they are remixed, modified articles or fragments are used in other creations, the modified material can not be distributed. It is also not allowed to reconstruct versions from the original published articles. Non-commercial: The use of contents of the published articles, totally or partially, for profit purposes is not allowed.

SELF-ARCHIVING POLICY

Sending a text for publication to the journal implies acceptance of this self-archiving policy: The pre-print is the version of the text prior to the scientific evaluation, as the author submits it to the journal. Authors can not auto-archive this version. The post-print is the version of the text after the scientific evaluation, once the suggestions of the experts have been adopted, but before the layout and proofreading. Authors can not auto-archive this version. The final post-print version is the final version of the article, as it has been edited by Revista de Enfermería Vascular, after the layout, proofreading and approval for its printing. The author can only auto-archive the final post-print version.

ETHICAL NORMS

Revista de Enfermería Vascular adheres to international standards and codes of ethics established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICJME) and subscribes to the so-called Editorial Policy Statements of March 21, 2006 approved by the Council of Science Editors, which can be consulted in your integrity at http://www.councilscienceeditors.org.

REDUNDANT OR DUPLICATE PUBLICATION AND PLAGIARISM DETECTION

All the texts sent to the journal are subject to scrutiny, by the editors, for the detection of plagiarism by means of the use of some tool (it can be free software) specifically designed for such purpose.

Likewise, external reviewers are urged to inform the responsible associate editor of any suspected plagiarism that may arise during the review. It will be the editor's mission to inform the authors of the suspicion and request their comments. If the explanations offered are not completely satisfactory, the manuscript will be considered non-publishable.
The authors must inform in the cover letter about previous posts or publications of the same work, in whole or in part, that may be considered redundant or duplicate publication. The authors are responsible for obtaining the permissions to partially reproduce materials (text, tables or figures) of other published works. These permits must be requested from both the responsible author and the publisher of the publication. The work that has been presented previously in a congress will not be considered a redundant publication if it has not been published as a scientific article in any national or international journal.

DIGITAL PRESERVATION POLICY

The AEEVH undertakes to preserve the content of the electronic file documents published in the Journal of Vascular Nursing, as well as to maintain its attributes of integrity, inalterability, reliability and accessibility. For this purpose, a careful storage of the original documents and their duplicates in their own servers is carried out. All these resources are stored in widely used formats such as PDF and HTML. Other additional measures include the use of DOI.

PEER REVIEW PROCESS

The articles published by the Journal are subject to a double blind scientific arbitration (with consultation of a scientific adviser and final decision on the part of the director in case of discrepancy), carried out by pairs of experts who do not know the identity of the authors. Likewise, the authors do not know the identity of the people who carry out the review of their works. However, the Editorial Committee does not object to those evaluators who want to sign their contributions, in which case the report will be sent to the authors with the data of the evaluator.
The maximum time used for the review and information to the author of the editorial decision will be eight weeks from its reception. In case of acceptance, the authors will be informed of the expected date of publication.
95% of the reviewers are external to the journal and to the AEEVH, which ensures the rigor and impartiality in the development of this management. To ensure homogeneity in the review of articles, the reviewers have an external manuscript review guide.

Sections 1), 3), 6), 9) will be mandatory; Sections 2), 4), 5), 7), 8) will be optional. At least 40% of the magazine will be devoted to scientific content.

EDITORIAL COMMITTEE

The director and the deputy director of the journal decide on the contents, presentation, regulations and editorial standardization of the journal according to the criteria established by the main national and international databases. They make an initial assessment of the received works, select editors and ultimately decide on their publication. They also have the power to request and order certain items.
The functions of the editors are to ensure compliance with editorial policy and ethical standards, guide and coordinate authors and reviewers during the editorial process, and attract new authors.
