Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The send file is in OpenOffice or Microsoft Word format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements summarized in the Author Guidelines
  • References follow the Vancouver Regulations and, whenever possible, URL addresses are provided.
  • The submission has not been previously published nor has it been submitted for consideration by any other journal (or an explanation has been provided in the Comments in the editor).
  • The text has simple line spacing; 12 font size points; italics are used instead of underlined (except for URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures and tables are placed in the appropriate places of the text, instead of at the end.

Author Guidelines

Journal of Vascular Nursing follows the general guidelines described in the uniformity requirements for manuscripts submitted for publication in biomedical journals, prepared by the International Committee of Editors of Biomedical Journals, in its updated version of December 2015 (http: //www.icmje .org / icmje-recommendations.pdf /).

Sending a manuscript to the journal implies compliance with these publication rules and compliance with the final decision about acceptance or rejection for publication.

EDITORIAL PROCESS AND PEER REVIEW PROCESS

The works will be submitted through the magazine's publishing platform. Only articles that have not been previously published, accepted for publication, or that are not being evaluated in another journal will be accepted. The boarding team will acknowledge receipt of the articles received. The works will be submitted to a peer review process, after which modifications may be proposed and the authors must submit the corrected original within 10 days of receiving said report.

ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS If the study has been funded totally or partially, the source of financing must be indicated. In case of not having external financing, it will be recorded as “Financing: none”. The authors must express any possible conflict of interest. If there is no conflict of interest, it must be stated as “Conflict of interests: none.”

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS The content and origin of the articles, illustrations, tables or photographs is the responsibility of the author or authors. The author / s must obtain the appropriate permits to reproduce, if applicable, any material already published or subject to copyright. AEEVH is not responsible for the content or opinions expressed in the published material, nor does it support or guarantee the products mentioned in the articles, with this responsibility falling on the authors. The articles, once accepted for publication, become the property of the magazine, but may be reproduced or shared under the conditions of the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative International 4.0 License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0)     https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd /4.0/deed.es_ES       Authors can self-archive, on their web pages or in institutional repositories, the edited postprint version of the articles.

TYPES OF ARTICLES

The Editorial Committee will consider for publication those works related to Vascular Nursing and / or wounds, in its application in any of the assistance levels, which have not been published in whole or in part in other media and that fit into any of the following sections:

Original Articles. Documents that present, in detail, the original results of a completed research project.

Review articles. Documents that analyze, systematize and integrate the results of primary research, published or unpublished, on a field in science, health or technology.

Short articles. Brief documents that present preliminary or partial original results of a scientific, health or technological research that, due to their importance, require prompt dissemination.

Clinical cases. Descriptive works of one or a few cases related to vascular patient care and / or wound management, or the exposure of the result of a care plan carried out with the patient. In this case it is recommended to use standardized nursing languages, and will focus on developing the methodology of action: the application of the nursing process.

Special articles. Monographs on topics related to the specialty or other formats such as standardized care plans or action protocols that are based on the best available scientific evidence.

GENERAL RULES

 Extension: Manuscripts should not exceed 4500 words (2500 in the case of short articles or cases clinical; 5000 reviews), including tables, figures and bibliographic references. The Word program should be used as a word processor. Typeface: Arial 12, with single line spacing, leaving the lateral, upper and lower margins not less than 2.5 cm.

Bibliographic references: All bibliographic references of the documents used must appear bounded throughout the text, consecutively, using Arabic numerals, in brackets, with the same type and font size as the font used for the text. Images, tables and figures: They shall not exceed six, numbered and bounded according to their order of appearance in the text, and with title or footer.
