Abstract
It was April 1988 when the General Council of Colleges of Graduates in Nursing appointed a committee made up of nursing professionals from different areas of care to give shape to a first project which, not before being submitted to the general opinion of professionals, would give way to what was to be the first Code of Ethics of Spanish Nursing with a truly state-wide scope. It was in those days when several vascular nursing professionals initiated the project of the Spanish Association of Vascular Nursing (AEEV).
